Freida Tela is an Afro-Samoan musician whose journey is as powerful as her voice. Originally from Compton, California, Freida’s life took a transformative turn after surviving a life-threatening experience in 2014 — a moment that inspired profound change and ultimately led her to plant new roots in Salt Lake City.

Since relocating, Freida has become a vibrant presence on Utah stages, collaborating with an array of local talent and building a name for herself within the state’s growing entertainment scene through Changing Lanes Event Group. Her artistry reflects both resilience and connection, resonating deeply with diverse audiences.

Now a proud mother of two beautiful children, Freida continues to pursue her passion for performance while gracefully balancing motherhood. Drawing from her rich life experiences, she channeled her story into her 2020 EP Out of 7, which reached Top 30 on the iTunes R&B/Soul charts.
